Happy Pets for happy life !

Being around nonthreatening animals, domesticated or otherwise, calms humans. The reason for this seems buried in our prehistory: Back then if we were around other creatures and all was peaceful, that meant predators weren't lurking nearby, about to pounce on us.

When we're less tense, we have more mental energy at our disposal to do whatever we've set out to accomplish, whether that's having a good time hanging out with family members, writing a novel or planning dinners for the next week.
But there's a catch: Having animals in our home is good for us psychologically only if those animals are happy and healthy. If they're not, they add to the tension in our lives. (A moping dog or an out-of-sorts cat doesn't enhance anyone's day.)
So give them comfortable dwelling !

5 Best Design tips : How to sell house !

Getting ready to sell ?
Move your property fast – and for the highest selling price possible – with these easy, affordable staging tricks. These deal-sealing changes will make your home attractive to the largest pool of potential buyers, and the best part is, you can start at any stage in the game.
Who knows – you may love your home’s new look so much that you decide not to list after all! hahahahahahah

Give this a shot and see money rolling in ...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 Paint!

Dollar for dollar
a fresh coat of paint gives you more bang for your decorating buck than anything else.
Even if your current palette is relatively new, any scuffs or wear marks will channel an unkempt vibe. And an unusual colour choice – even if the height of fashion – may limit your home’s appeal. So break out that roller and slap on a couple coats of crowd-pleasing warm white or sand paint.

2 Improve the lighting

Replace any dated light fixtures ASAP.
You don’t need to break the bank, just head to IKEA .

3 De-clutter

Take the collectibles off the mantel, put the mismatched armchair into storage (or better yet, donate it) and pare your closets down to what you’re actually wearing this season, packing away the rest. Ideally, all this extra stuff would head to charity (if in good, saleable condition), the garbage dump, or into storage. The more you store onsite, the more cluttered and small your home appears.

4 Give dated bathrooms a face

A nice bath helps sell a house but, don’t invest in a total renovation. Renos are costly, and you won’t recoup your costs unless you find your exact décor doppelganger. Bring an out-of-date bath up to speed with gleaming white walls whether via a fresh coat of white bath and kitchen paint or ceramic tile and new lighting (Home Depot excels at affordable, stylish bathroom vanity lighting). Buy neutral new shower curtains, a simple new bath mat and vanity set, and have fresh flowers in the room during open houses

5 Take down curtains

Dated window treatments need to come down, (if it’s over 10 years old, get rid of it). If privacy isn’t an issue, just leave the windows bare to maximize natural light and make the room’s dimensions seem more generous.
Always tie drapes back during viewings and open houses.

Give this a shot and see money rolling in ...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers

Eat, Pray and Celebrate : Deepawali spirit is in the air !

 "दीपाना दिपितम इति पा अल्नेना पलितम,
आयुर्दायाकम, वाल्नना अर्जितम
लययोगेना ईप्सितम इति दीपावली
दीपावली प्रकाश्येता खलु सर्वं"

'Deepeana Dipitam Iti, Pa alnena Palitam,
Aayurdaayakam, Walnana Arjitam
Layayogena Iipsitam Iti Deepawali
Deepawali Prakashyeta Khalu Sarvam'

The translation:

May the Deepawali (Diwali) take the humanity towards Eternal Light! This light is the physical light created by the earthen Lamp, for seeing around, where I do exist. May it lead me to Eternal flame and to provide me meaningful Long life, the higher Yoga of Supreme realization and grant me the boon of Spiritual illumination!

All the phonemes of the word Deepawali have been explained in the Sanskrit Sloka. The three lines are the sound structures of the term Deepawali, signifying the quintessence of the effulgence of the clay lamps ,The fourth line of the Shloka is prayer for all.

The Sanskrit word Deepavali means an array of lights that stands for victory of brightness over darkness. The festival marks the victory of good over evil, and uplifting of spiritual darkness. Symbolically it marks the homecoming of goodwill and faith after an absence.

Give and Forgive

Everyone forgets and forgives the wrongs done by others. There is an air of freedom, festivity and friendliness everywhere. This festival brings about unity. It instills charity in the hearts of people. Everyone buys new clothes for the family. Employers, too, purchase new clothes for their employees.

Rise and Shine

Waking up during the 'Brahmamuhurta' (at 4a.m.) is a great blessing from the standpoint of health, ethical discipline, efficiency in work and spiritual advancement. It is on Deepavali that everyone wakes up early in the morning. The sages who instituted this custom must have cherished the hope that their descendents would realise its benefits and make it a regular habit in their lives.

Unite and Unify

In a happy mood of great rejoicing village folk move about freely, mixing with one another without any reserve, all enmity being forgotten. People embrace one another with love. Deepavali is a great unifying force. Those with keen inner spiritual ears will clearly hear the voice of the sages, "O Children of God unite, and love all". The vibrations produced by the greetings of love, which fill the atmosphere, are powerful enough to bring about a change of heart in every man and woman in the world. Alas! That heart has considerably hardened, and only a continuous celebration of Deepavali in our homes can rekindle in us the urgent need of turning away from the ruinous path of hatred.

Prosper and Progress

On this day, Hindu merchants in North India open their new account books and pray for success and prosperity during the coming year. The homes are cleaned and decorated by day and illuminated by night with earthen oil-lamps. The best and finest illuminations are to be seen in Bombay and Amritsar. The famous Golden Temple at Amritsar is lit in the evening with thousands of lamps placed all over the steps of the big tank.
HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL !

Festival of BLOOMING Lights : DEEPAWALI : beyond decorations

One of the most widely celebrated festivals for Hindus is Deepavali, also known as Diwali. Diwali is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and happiness. This festival is usually celebrated for five consecutive days, with the third day being celebrated as the main Deepavali day, or as the 'Festival of Lights'. Fireworks are associated with this festival. The day is celebrated with people lighting diyas, or oil lamps, or sometimes candles all around their house. Lakshmi Puja is performed in the evening to seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. Deepavali gifts are exchanged among all near and dear ones.

Buddha gestures in your home or office decor : Understanding Mudras

5 Budha hand gestures and their placement in your Space

Living in South east Asia makes you collect several Budha Sculptures and since we have them why not know some thing more about them.

Are you curious about the meaning of specific Buddha hand gestures?

Here goes the explanation !

Abhaya Mudra

One of the most popular Buddha hand gestures called Abhaya Mudra,
the energy of No Fear.

Abhaya is translated from Sanskrit word as fearlessness

The Abhaya mudra is made with the open palm of the right hand extending outwards at the chest level or slightly higher. If you observe this Buddha hand gesture, or mudra, you will also feel the energy of protection, peace and a sense of strong, deep inner security.

Best to be placed in living room or the reception area of office.

Dhyana Mudra

Dhyana, or Samadhi mudra, is the hand gesture that promotes the energy of meditation, deep contemplation and unity with higher energy.

The circling of energy created by the triangle (formed when the thumbs of the two hands touch) also promotes a cleansing of any impurities on an etheric level. Just by looking at this Buddha hand gesture (let alone practicing it!) one can connect to the energy of deep peace and serenity.
Best to be placed in Meditation room, your altar.

Namaskara Mudra

Namaskara, or Anjali mudra, is the hand gesture that evokes greeting another being with the utmost respect and adoration for the Divine in all. As you can see, the greeting is expressed in a form of prayer coming from one's heart or the third eye.

The Namaskara Mudra can be expressed with palms at the heart level or at the forehead. Why? Because only with the heart, or with a deeper spiritual insight (third eye) can one truly see that we are all expressions of the same light

Best to be placed at main entry of home or office.

Vajrapradama Mudra

Typically translated as the Mudra of Unshakable Self Confidence an unshakable self esteem usually understand as self confidence. The first words that come to mind when looking at this beautiful Buddha gesture are:
"I come with peace because I am peace".

It emanates a glowing river of the most beautiful golden energy - soft, kind, radiant, very healing, ever-lasting. Gesture of confidence in the Self, the real Self that is one with Divine energy.

When this confidence is there, the Heart becomes the strongest communicator. This is what this Buddha mudra evokes - strength and confidence in the Heart Self.

Best to be placed in center of home or office.

 Vitarka Mudra
Vitarka mudra is interpreted as the hand gesture that evokes the energy of teaching and intellectual discussion, or argument. It mostly feels like the transmission of a particular teaching with no words, and the circle formed by the thumb and index finger creates a constant flow of energy/information.

Close to Abhaya Mudra, the energy created by this hand gesture allows for a transmission of knowledge in a protected way, without being impeded by fear.

Best to be placed in Kid's bedroom.
